The Operations Manager role supports the Director of Sales & Operations in several key areas: cost containment, operational improvements and efficiencies as well as successful execution on strategic imperatives, establishment of key operational metrics and reporting as well as seasonal Customer Service problem solving. The role requires working with cross-functional teams to strengthen organization effectiveness and support overall sales and strategic goals. The Operations Manager will supervise a team of customer service and sales support specialists.
Work with Stakeholders to ensure all product and revenue operations run smoothly
Develop strong command of all systems and create best practices for operational reporting and problem solving
Manage all aspects of twice a year product price increase of all print and digital products, meeting or exceeding deadlines
Create and drive project timelines, building relationships with key internal stakeholders (Inventory control, Order entry, Accounting) operating in key support functions at Wolters Kluwer warehouse to ensure alignment with all initiatives
Actively contribute and participate in reaching annual cost control initiatives
Ensure successful logistical execution of key company strategies
Assist Customer Service/Sales Support in busy periods, including as a liaison with other, related Wolters Kluwer customer support teams
Manage, Train and retain Sales Support Specialist and Customer Service Specialist
Manage customer service partners if applicable (Outsourced Customer Service Vendor)
Provide weekly and monthly reports to Director of Sales and Operations
Performs other duties as requested by the Director of Sales and Operations.
Education: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent required
2 years of Supervisory experience of operations, customer service and/or sales support personnel.
Working knowledge of high performing sales teams and systems.
- Operational experience required, with a minimum of 4 years-experience
1 year or more in warehouse environment and/or inventory control environment
MBA or equivalent degree
Other Knowledge, Skills, Abilities or Certifications:
Demonstrated analytical skills and problem-solving capabilities
Expertise in Excel, Word desired
Project Management experience a plus
Cost containment experience
