We are looking for an architect to support our growing virtualization initiatives!

Support the Wolters Kluwer's Tax & Accounting (TAA) Division strategic initiatives and programs such as CCH Axcess, ELF, iQ iFirm, and Small Firms
Consult, advise and work with technical leadership, architecture, engineering and software development teams to design and deliver against these strategic initiatives and platforms
Provide oversight and composition of GBS Architecture artifacts and present these designs in accordance with the GBS and TAA architecture governance process
Translate highly technical and complex subjects to business and senior stakeholders while engaging, steering, and guiding the aligned engineers in delivering their architecture definitions
Oversee the domain target architecture definition against the scope defined within a set of high level requirements with technical depth of a single technical domain such as network, security, compute (Public/Private), automation and storage
Use appropriate tools, including logical models of components and interfaces to contribute to the development of systems architectures in specific business or functional areas
Produce detailed component specifications and translates these into detailed designs for implementation using selected products
Provide advice on technical aspects of system development and integration; including requests for changes, deviations from specifications, etc. and help ensure that relevant technical strategies, policies, standards and practices are applied correctly
Apply a variety of analytical and visualization techniques in consultation with experts and with sensitivity to the limitations of the techniques
Maintain an in-depth knowledge of specific specialisms and provide expert advice regarding their application
Manage the design, procurement, installation, upgrading, operation, control, maintenance and effective use of IT infrastructure components
Create and review system's capability strategy which meets the strategic requirements of the business
Recommend and design structures and tools for systems which meet business needs, based on architectural best practices
Translate logical designs into physical designs, and produces detailed design documentation
Specify and design complex hardware components and systems while selecting appropriate design standards, based on business and technical requirements
Provide Level 2/3 support to GBS and TAA for the Public Cloud platform, Azure
Provide technical expertise to enable the correct operational procedures
Contribute to the planning and implementation of maintenance and installation work, including building and management of systems
A minimum of seven years of progressive IT experience with at least four years of experience within an architecture role
A minimum of two years of project, team, or collaborative cross functional leadership experience on projects or engagements
At least three years of experience defining, building and maintaining a specific domain of architecture in Microsoft Azure such as Network, Public Cloud, Private Cloud, Storage, and/or Automation
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university or equivalent work experience; Professional certifications such as TOGAF, ARCHIMATE, ZACHMAN, MCSE: Cloud Platform and Infrastructure, CCIE, Azure Certified Architect, etc
Experience within architecture, design and implementation of complex, highly available and highly scalable solutions along with broad knowledge of various technology architectures and business platforms
Experience with information security and the control points needed within a specific domain's architecture, as well as experience in an enterprise wide architectural governance, architecture decisions, exceptions, and standards
Experience reviewing and creating architecture design, configuration, and operational documentation to support data center consolidation data center or multi-site data center consolidations
Ability to identify risk and issues utilizing architecture drawings, documentation and migration cutover plans
Experience with implementation and operation of mission critical applications in large scale environments
Understanding and working knowledge of vendor clustering technologies (Microsoft), multi-vendor operating systems/platforms (Microsoft and Red Hat), database technologies (SQL, Oracle, Sybase, DB2), virtualization platform (VMWare) and security standards (HIPPA, PCI, SOX)
Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 50%
