As a Sales Development Representative, you will be responsible for achieving quarterly and annual prospect development objectives of Effacts Software products and services. You will effectively position the benefits and value of this tool to current and potential customers within the legal space with the purpose of establishing leads and opportunities for the Effacts Inside Sales Team. In this rewarding role you will apply your relationship building and product knowledge skills through outbound telemarketing to achieve individual business targets and promote our software solutions.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Gather new customer data and secure qualified appointments for sales representatives

  • Able to identify and properly qualify business opportunities

  • Work with inside sales reps to schedule appointments and determine new business opportunities

  • Maintain a thorough working knowledge of all products and services offered by the company

  • Spend 75% of the time engaged in outbound sales calls to schedule qualified appointments for the sales team to meet with prospective customers

  • Achieve and exceed established monthly, quarterly and annual sale objectives

  • Record daily and weekly sales activity reporting, including backlog and opportunity tracking, sales call activity, and related information

  • Thoroughly understand Effacts Legal Management platform and solutions and our value proposition

  • Develop a strong understanding of the general counsel's work flow and how our solutions can benefit our customers

  • Understand the alternatives that our customers have to include competitive solutions as well as their status quo

  • Participate in trade shows as requested

  • Work effectively in an office environment

  • Fast and thorough follow-up on inquiries from customers and prospects by phone or email

  • Support team, Business Unit, and corporate goals and objectives

  • Perform various ad hoc duties as requested by Sales Manager

  • Participate in organizational activities to meet or exceed company objectives; and representing Wolters Kluwer within the industry

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • A minimum of 1 year of inside sales or telemarketing experience

  • Speaks clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products (PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel, Word) and Salesforce.com

Preferred Qualifications: (Includes Minimum)

  • Experience selling software solutions in the legal markets area

  • Knowledge of and experience in the corporate legal space preferred

  • Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

  • Tools and process enabling remote connection to internal systems

  • CRM; Salesforce.com in particular

  • Motivated self-starter

  • Strong sales aptitude

  • Ability to work well in a team

  • Enthusiasm and eagerness to learn
