This position is responsible for managing the product management activities for the Integrated Data and Analytics product portfolio for the Clinical Effectiveness (CE) business unit of Wolters Kluwer Health. These activities include working cross-functionally to ensure that our solutions are meeting customer needs, are prioritized appropriately, are launched effectively, provide appropriate return on investment and support the strategic direction of Clinical Effectiveness. This role can be based in our Indianapolis, IN or Chicago, IL offices.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Working with the VP, Product Management, to establish organizational structure, framework for product planning, prioritization, decision making processes, etc.
Obtain deep understanding of the solutions that CDI delivers and how they impact our customers globally, which will involve significant engagement with the marketplace.
Manage the development and execution of comprehensive, strategic product development and partnership plans aimed at delivering innovative, effective, and highly competitive products and solutions driving positive and meaningful business growth, including ROI analysis.
Engage with the marketplace, Product Managers, and cross-functionally to ensure that Product Execution Plans align to CE goals and objectives and deliver solutions that meet customer needs.
Working in conjunction with Finance, Content, and Technology, evaluate resources invested in supporting product lines to ensure appropriate resource allocation that drive business performance.
Develop data-driven (e.g. market segmentation, competitive analysis) market strategy and execution plans to achieve business objectives along with Segment GM's and Product Marketing
Collaborate with Product and Segment Marketing to ensure that product launches are effective and follow repeatable processes.
Oversee issue management function and ensure that it follows best practices.
Oversee lifecycle of products to ensure that they are managed effectively from launch to sunset.
Build framework for team to lead PM portions of pragmatic marketing as well as work collaboratively across the organization to support all of pragmatic marketing.
Work with Product Managers to ensure that projects are prioritized appropriately and business cases and proposals are developed.
Work collaboratively on idea generation and support of product concepts alongside the CE Innovation team.
Hire, develop, and retain high caliber talent. Manage and drive high performance standards.
Conduct performance appraisals and provide coaching/mentoring to direct reports.
Participate in all relevant meetings and assume a leadership role in these meetings as needed.
Participate in all corporate training, company initiatives and performance planning exercises.
Other duties and special projects as assigned.
Education: MBA preferred. BS or BA degree or equivalent is required preferably in Software Engineering, Data sciences or Healthcare.
5 or more years of leadership of a Product Management organization
Healthcare IT experience is preferred
